Electrically conductive nanocomposites were prepared by in situ polymerization of pyrrole in the matrix of Polystyrene-b-Poly(n-butyl methacrylate) [PS-PnBMA] copolymer which was synthesized by anionic polymerization technique. The PS-PnBMA film with the thickness of ~ 0.3mm was dipped into pyrrole/water solution, then dipped into again FeCl3/water solution. The amount of polypyrrole varies by changing dipping time and the concentration of pyrrole in pyrolle/water solution. The molecular characteristics of polypyrrole in the PS-PnBMA matrix were determined by using FT-IR and UV. Conductivities of nanocomposites with different contents of polypyrolle were measured by a conventional four-probe technique. As pyrrole monomer diffused into matrix, PS-PnBMA film morphology was changed, which was investigated by SEM and TEM. We also measured mechanical properties of the nanocomposites by using DSC and DMA |
