Bio-inspired dopamine and plant-induced cardanol containing polymer coatings for multi-functional filtration membranes |
초록 |
A series of copolymers (PCD#s, where # is the weight compositional ratio of DMA) containing bio-inspired dopamine and plant-induced cardanol moieties were prepared via radical polymerization of dopamine methacrylamide (DMA) and 2-hydroxy-3-cardanylpropyl methacrylate (HCPM). PCD#s were applied as coating materials to prevent flux decline of the membrane by adhesion of foulants. PSf membranes coated with PCD#s showed higher bio-fouling resistance than the PSf membrane, and bactericidal property of polymers increased with increasing the contents of HCPM units. PCD54- and PCD74-coated membranes having a certain amount of both hydrophilic DMA and hydrophobic HCPM units showed higher oil-fouling resistance than the more hydrophilic PCD91- and hydrophobic PCD0-coated membranes. |
