제목 Mesoporous TiO2 as Support of Ru Catalysts for Hydrodeoxygenation of Anisole: Influence of Porosity and Morphology
초록 Two types of mesoporous TiO2 with different phases (anatase and rutile) were prepared and then used as support materials of Ru catalyst for hydrodeoxygenation of a lignin-derived model compound anisole. Conventional nonporous TiO2 (P25) was also used to evaluate the effect of mesoporous structure. It is found that the catalytic activity and product distribution changed drastically depending on the porosity and morphology of TiO2 support employed. Ru/meso-Anatase and Ru/meso-Rutile catalysts with smaller Ru particles exhibit higher anisole conversion comparing to Ru/P25. It can be attributed to the good dispersion of active Ru particles in the mesopores of meso-anatase and meso-rutile supports. Furthermore, Ru/meso-Anatase catalyst shows highest benzene selectivity while Ru/meso-Rutile shows lowest benzene selectivity. It indicates that anatase TiO2 phase facilitates direct deoxygenation pathway and rutile TiO2 phase leads to hydrogenation pathway.
