The UV-curable polyurethane acrylate(PUA) was polymerized with biomass-derived isosorbide and Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), which contributes to reducing CO2 emission. Isosorbide having rigid properties due to its bicyclic ether chemical structure was used as the hard segment, and PDMS with excellent flexibility and heat resistance was used as the soft segment. The modified PDMS structure was quantitatively analyzed by H-NMR, and the polymerized PUA was qualitatively analyzed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). Polymerized modified PDMS-Isosorbide PUA was measured for photocuring kinetics via Photo-DSC. Furthermore, Universal Testing Machine (UTM) samples were prepared using the prepared PUA to measure tensile strength, and were comfirmed transparency and pencil hardness |
