제목 Synthesis and properties of water-soluble photosensitizers based on porphyrin and C60 for photodynamic therapy
초록 Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a medical treatment that produces toxic singlet oxygen destroying the cancer cells. In this study, we have developed novel triethylene glycol(TEG)-dendron conjugated porphyrin photosensitizers (PSs) having one or two fullerene components. The TEG-dendron moiety can enhance water-solubility of PSs, and the fullerene moiety plays dual photosensitizing effects involving on/off switching function of porphyrin excited state and secondary photosensitizer if it gets separated. The resulting conjugates have been fully characterized by 1H-NMR, MALDI-TOF-MS, UV-visabsorption and fluorescence spectroscopies. We'll discuss the biological photodynamic activities of PSs in vitro and in vivo experiments.
