Polydiacetylenes (PDAs), one of the conjugated polymers, are efficient sensing material because of their unique optical properties in that they show visible color transition and fluorescence emission change upon external stimuli. The chromatic/fluorescent transition of PDA is caused by the electronic configuration change of PDAs' conjugated backbone. Many researchers have investigated PDAs-based sensors exhibiting dual signaling via optical color transition and "on-off' fluorescence. PDAs-based sensors exhibiting reversible color transition have been developed in many different forms such as monolayers, films, and colloidal liposomes. However, development of PDAs-based sensor showing reversible fluorescence transition still remains a challenge. We developed PDA organogel microstructures based on newly synthesized diacetylene monomer using Flow lithography. Fabricated PDA organogel microstructure displayed rapidly reversible volumetric /fluorescent transition upon solvent exchange. |
