제목 Submicrometer porous scattering layer for dye-sensitized solar cells
초록 Dye-sensitised solar cells (DSCs) are a promising substitute for conventional silicon solar cells because of their simple architecture and their low cost of fabrication. A layer of submicrometer pores or particles that induce Mie light scattering has been introduced to achieve a high light-harvesting efficiency and, therefore, a high efficiency in photon-to-electron conversion. Here, we have fabricated a macroporous TiO2 scattering film via the dissolution of polystyrene (PS) spheres from a polystyrene/TiO2 composite layer. The scattering layer affected to achieve high light harvesting efficiency about 18% and improved photon-to-electric conversion efficiency about 15%. These results were contributed from low transmittance of the electrode film by introducing the scattering layer, which is decreased form 80% to 2% with the presence of the porous scattering layer.
