As many effective drugs are made, the patient's health improves, but taking various types of drugs together is still a burden on the patient. A drug that can take a uricosuric drug called probenecid (PRO) and an anti-inflammatory drug called quercetin (QU) at once will improve the convenience of gout patients. Composites are made of PRO and QU using drowning-out crystallization and evaporation crystallization. In this process, polymer-directed crystallization was induced using a polymer. The formation of crystals was confirmed through polarized light of optical microscopy (OM). It was confirmed through OM and scanning electron microscope (SEM) that the crystal morphology of PRO and QU changed. The melting points of the two drugs are slightly lowered as confirmed by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). These changes have the potential to be a compound that effectively improves the performance of the drugs. |
