Polymer electrolytes such as poly(4-vinylpyrirolidone), poly(4-vinylalcohol), polyviologen, and ionic polyacrylates have been applied to polymeric solar cells (PSCs) to improve a power conversion efficiency (PCE). By the formation of interface dipole at the electrode interface through introducing the thin layer of these materials, the short circuit current (Jsc) of the devices is mainly enhanced by the reduction of the Schottky barrier at the interface. In addition, the fill factor (FF) and open circuit voltage (Voc) could be improved by interfacial layer. Here we report an optically crosslinkable polyelectrolyte suitable for inverted PSCs. This new interlayer material allows us to better processability for high efficiency inverted PSCs from PTB7-Th:PC71BM systems. After optimization of the device structures, we obtained highly efficient power conversion efficiency (PCE), 8.78 %, with 0.81 of Voc, 15.27 mA/cm2 of Jsc, and 0.71 of FF. |
