Preceramic polymers have attracted remarkable interest in the last 2 decades due to their ability to easily produce various shapes. Transition-metal containing SiCN ceramics prepared from PSZ, which as a precursor of SiCN, are of special interest in engineering fields because of their interesting electrical, magnetic, and catalytic properties. In addition, PSZ can be prepared porous SiCN by evaporation of organic group during pyrolysis process. In this work, we report a novel strategy for the synthesis of nanocrystal containing magnetoceramics by pyrolysis of silsesquiazane (SSQZ) blended with Fe(acac)3. The nitrogen-rich SSQZ offers either enhanced chelation with transition-metal or fabricate porous SiCN ceramics after pyrolysis. Porous magnetoceramics was investigated by FE-SEM, XRD, and BET. Moreover, the magnetic properties of the ceramics were investigated by the vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). |
