Quantum dot sensitized solar cells (QDSSCs) have emerged as one of the most promising candidates for semiconductor quantum dots (QDs) have reasonable attention due to their opto-electronic properties. At this time various QD sensitizers such as CdS, CdSe, PbS, PbSe have been reported in the quantum dot-sensitized solar cells (QDSSCs). So here we report a high efficiency QDSSC based on Cu-CdS QDs using successive ionic layer absorption and reaction (SILAR) method. The structural, surface, optical and electrical analyses were explored with the help of scanning electron microscope, atomic force microscopy, UV-visible spectrophotometer and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. When the copper doped concentration is increased, there was a distinct progress in the photovoltaic parameters of QDSSCs. It can be conclude that the modification of CdS thin film properties were observed by copper doping process. |
