Metallic tantalum preparation from tantalum pentoxide by electrolytic reduction method in a LiCl Li2O molten salt |
| 초록 |
An electrolytic reduction of Ta2O5 using molten salt electrolysis was investigated. The purpose of this experiment is to find out optimumcondition for preparing high-purity and high-collect rate tantalum. The counter, working and reference electrodes were used tocollect thetantalum. The formation of tantalum metal occurs at the working electrode and at which an electron react with the Ta2O5 leaving tantalum. The oxygen in the Ta2O5 is ionized and dissolved in the molten salt. The products were characterized by XRD, SEM and EDX analysis. The results reveal that various factors can affect reductionandtantalum successfully prepared under some condition as the factors were well controlled. |
