제목 Comparison of numerical algorithms for the frequency response in curtain coating flow
초록 Sensitivity by frequency response of the final coating thickness to the several sinusoidal disturbances has been investigated in the curtain coating system which is featured by the free fall of coating liquidswithout any support before impinging onto the web. To effectively solve the complex frequency response system, alternative ways have been carried out and compared. It has been found that modal analysis using eigenfunctions and an iterative method (GMRES) are useful tools to solve the frequency response, compared with conventional method solving the doubled matrix problem. Effects of process conditions on the sensitivity have been also scrutinized using suggested methods.
