제목 Synthesis and Characterization of Y3Al5O12:Tb3+ Nanoparticles by a Reverse Micelle Process
초록 Y3Al5O12:Tb3+ nanoparticles is one of the most useful phosphors with almost 100% quantum efficiency. In the present work, we have synthesized Y3Al5O12:Tb3+ nanoparticles by reverse micelle process using aqueous ammonia as the precipitant, hydroxide precursor was obtained from nitrate solutions dispersed in the nanosized aqueous domains of micro emulsion consisting of cyclohexane as the oil phase, poly(oxyethylene) nonylphenyl ether (Igepal CO-520) as the non-ionic surfactant. The synthesized and calcined powders were characterized by Thermogravimetry-differential thermal analysis (TGA-DTA), X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Transmission electron microscopy and Photoluminescence spectra (PL).
