제목 Adhesion stability study for restoration of bronze artifacts
초록 Evaluation of long-term stability in adhesion is needed for restoration techniques of both foreign and domestic bronze artifacts. Usually surface cleaning, rust inhibiting, and surface reinforcing are followed by adhesion for the restoration. Both cast and forged bronze materials were used for adhesion test. Novel adhesion specimens were invented for this test. Epoxy and cyanoacrylate adhesives were selected as adhesive. Talc and microballon were selected as filler. Adhesion was evaluated by tensile strength of the adhesion specimens using the UTM(Universal Testing Machine). Epoxy showed better performance of adhesion in bigger pieces of bronze artifacts. Incorporation of proper amount of filler enhanced the adhesive strength of epoxy. Long-term stability was not deteriorated by introducing filler in the adhesive composites.
