Synthesis of Magnetic Nanoparticles-embedded Silver Bumpy Nanoshell for Sensitive SERS Analysis |

SERS(Surface-enhanced Raman scattering) is an effective tool for detection of various target molecules because it has specific signal pattern depending on the target molecules and is stable to photobleaching. In SERS analysis, the structure of metal substrate is very important because it has a great influence on the intensity of SERS signal. Various approaches have been tried to develop new types of metal substrate for sensitive detection of target in low concentration. Here, we synthesized a SERS nanoprobe which has magnetic NPs at core part, and silver shell at outer part. Silver surface of nanoprobe has bumpy structure, which would lead to the formation of ‘hot spot’, generating strong SERS signal. Moreover, SERS signal could be further increased by magnetic-induced aggregation. The nanoprobe could be utilized in sensitive detection and quantitative analysis of various biomarkers. |
