Here we demonstrate a novel strategy for the preparation of silicon nanoparticle/graphene nanoplatelet (Si/graphene) composite by using supercritical carbon dioxide fluid (scCO2). The surface of silicon was modified with a thin layer of polyaniline, which assisted the dispersion of graphene by introducing π-π interaction. Morphology and chemical composition of the composite were investigated to confirm the effect of scCO2 process on the composite, and it was found that the scCO2 provided well-dispersed Si/graphene composite in a short time under mild condition. The prepared composite showed outstanding performance as Li ion battery anode materials: high cycle stability (1,789 mAh/g after 250 cycles) and rate capability (1,690 mAh/g at a current density of 4 A/g). |
