| 초록 | Alginate Encapsulation of Mesenchymal Stem Cell 3D cultured spheroids for Treatment of Inflammatory Bowel DiseaseJunhyeung Park School of Medicine, Sungkyunkwan University Natural Sciences Campus 2066 Seobu-ro, Jangan-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, Korea Currently, mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)-based therapy offers a promise for the given conditions. This study was aimed at developing a robust method of alginate encapsulation of MSC spheroids, namely “Surface triggering in situ gelation (STIG)”, for the treatment of chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Alginate encapsulation of spheroids was performed following protocol. Briefly, The conjugated MSC spheroids with calcium carbonate microspheres were incubated with the solution of alginate. As a result our method of alginate encapsulation of spheroids may offer a huge promise to enhance MSC functionality for effective treatment of IBD and other diseases. |
