Fullerene Nanohybrid Metal Oxide Ultrathin Filmsby the Surface Sol-Gel Process |

Nanocarbon materials of fullerenes and carbon nanotubes have been intensively investigated due to their unique structure, electric and mechanical properties. Metal oxide based inorganic surfaces by covalent/noncovalent bonding of nanocarbon materials have attracted for optical, electronic, photovoltaic, artificial photosynthesis, and solar cell applications. In this study, fullerene nanohybride ultrathin films were prepared by the surface sol-gel process including the alternate adsorption of metal alkoxide and fullerene. The fullerene nanohybride ultrathin films could be controlled on the nanometer thickness level, and it was confirmed that an assembly films showed linearly growth by QCM and UV-vis absorption spectra measurements. |
