제목 Process development and cost evaluation of CO2 sequestration from slag using citric acid as a ligand
초록 Blast furnace slag is calcium reach residue of the steel industries which can be good source of calcium for the production of calcium carbonate as well as carbon dioxide sequestration. The purpose of this study is process development and conducting economic feasibly study of carbon dioxide sequestration process by utilizing blast furnace slag using citric acid as ligand. Aspen Plus V10® commercial process simulator was employed to simulate this process. The operating conditions of the extraction reactor were set at ambient conditions while the operating conditions of the carbonation reactor were set at 30 bar and 60 oC which is comparatively at high pressure to prevent dissolution of precipitated calcium carbonate. The economic feasibility was conducted using Aspen Icarus Process Evaluator®. Sensitivity analysis was conducted to observe the effect of variation of conversion in the carbonation reactor.
