제목 | High Energy Supercapacitors Employing Ionic-liquid Electrolyte |
초록 | Developing a high energy and long cycle supercapacitors has a great importance in next-generation energy storage applications. In addition, supercapacitors developed with green and sustainable compounds can greatly address the environmental concerns. Herein, we use the waste watermelon rind derived porous carbon for high temperature supercapacitors, employing ionic liquids as high voltage electrolyte. The Electric double layer supercapacitors can achieve a high energy density of 174 Wh kg-1 (25 oC), and 177 Wh kg-1 (60 oC) along with a power density of ~ 20 kW kg-1. Furthermore, the supercapacitors are highly stable with 90% energy retention after 150,000 cycles, outperforming the conventional aqueous supercapacitors. |
