Prediction of Life Time of Polyurethane Composites having different Volume Particle Contents using Time Temperature Superposition Principle |

In this study, the time temperature superposition principle (TTSP) will be applied to obtain the master curves and predict life time of materials. The materials used in this study include three types of polyurethane (PU) composites based on hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB), polycaprolactone triol (PCL) and ether modified dimethylsiloxane (PDMS) as prepolymer and isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) as curing agent. PU composites are prepared with four different volume particle contents ranging from 0 % to 75 %. Dynamic mechanical analyser (DMA) is used to evaluate the storage modulus, loss modulus, tan delta and glass transition temperature (Tg) for each PU composite to show time (frequency) and temperature dependent behavior on deformation. The master curve of storage modulus is generated for each PU composite samples and used to predict the life time of PU composites. |
