Evaluation of Mechanical properties of Bi-Layer Artificial Blood Vessel Made by PCL/Chitosan Composite by Electrospinning |

Artificial blood vessel was fabricated by bi-layer method from poly caprolactone (PCL) (inner layer) and chitosan (outer layer) by electrospinning. With high surface to volume ratio and porosity of polymer electrospun nanofibers were thought to mimic natural extra cellular matrix (ECM) and thus promoted cell adhesion, migration and proliferation. Mechanical of samples increased after crosslinking chitosan layer by glutaraldehyde. Relationship of mechanical properties, inner/outer diameter and thickness of tubes were characterized. Morphology of nanofiber and small-diameter was conformed by SEM image. FT-IR data showed that chitosan was crosslinked by glutaraldehyde. |
