Novel RuO2 nanorod and nanosheet electrodes as the next generation of Dimensional Stable Anodes have been facilely fabricated by using precipitation method with organic surfactant as template. The physical and chemical properties of the synthesized RuO2 electrodes were carried out with field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD). Electrochemical performances of RuO2 electrodes were performed by using cyclic voltammetry (CV), linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), total chlorine concentration (DPD). The rod-like RuO2 nanomaterials with morphological features of 500 nm length, 30 nm width and sheet-like nanomaterial (600 nm length, 300 nm width) are formed on the surface of Ti substrate. The obtained RuO2 nanorod and nanosheet electrodes show enhanced about outer surface area and chlorine evolution efficiency compare to the nanograin electrode, respectively. |
