제목 Tailored novel three dimensional order macroporous of RuO2-TiO2 electrodes for chlorine evolution
초록 Dimensional Stable Anodes (DSA) are now become the most popular electrodes in chlor-alkali industry. Improvement the chlorine evolution efficiency by using novel electrodes now is the key factor to reduce the energy consumption. In this article, the preparation of three dimensional ordered macroporous RuO2-TiO2 electrodes by using template were described and explored as electrocatalyst for chlorine evolution reaction in brine medium. The major results show that the active surface area and electro-catalytic activity of the macroporous RuO2-TiO2 electrode is about 1.5 times higher than the nontemplated electrode at the same Ru loadings. The SEM images show obviously the macropores of 50 nm – 800 nm in diameter and the HR-TEM images show the forming of worm holelike and ordered cycle pore system. This novel idea strategically opens a new way to make electrocatalysts with ultrahigh electrochemical active surface area, and also reducing the amount of the expensive noble RuO2 electrocatalyst for chlorine evolution.
