In the uninhibited transformer oil classified in IEC 60296, it is stipulated not to use phenol-based oxidation stabilizers. As the rate of adoption of uninhibited transformer oil increases in countries that adopt the IEC standard, development of an oxidation stabilizer that can accommodate it is required. In this study, various sulfur compounds and paraffinic base oils were mixed and tested for their mixing stability and corrosive sulphur, and intended to be used as basic data for the development of sulfide-based oxidation stabilizers.
