제목 | Photo-triggered micelles encapsulated anti-cancer drug for efficient antitumoral therapy |
초록 | Chemotherapy is prevalent for tumor therapy, although undesired effects have been reported. To overcome side effects, various therapeutic systems have been introduced. Among them, photodynamic therapy (PDT) has received enormous attention due to apoptosis or necrosis inducing property via generated singlet oxygen upon laser irradiation. Additionally, in virtue of its light dependent property, photo-controlled drug release system is able to avoid normal cell toxicity and enhances antitumoral effect. Based on these advantages, we developed a drug loaded photo-triggered micelles (DPTMs) with hydrophilic polymer conjugated photosensitizer (PS) and photo-responsive material (PR). When DPTMs reach tumor region via enhanced permeability and retention followed by laser irradiation, produced singlet oxygen could activate the light-sensitizer moiety, and thereby drug is simultaneously released. In summary, we demonstrated this efficient combinatory strategy can be utilized for cancer treatment. |
