Flame retardant coating agent Polyphosphazene |

Polyphosphazene coated polyurethane was synthesized by ring-opening polymerization and 4-hydroxybenzophenone and ethanol were substituted in various ratio in the side chain. Polyphosphazene characterized for UV cross-linking of polyphosphazene on polyurethane, and having retardancy of flame. The 4-hydroxybenzophenone of side chain of phosphazene is coated by cross-linking of the double bond by UV, and phosphorus and nitrogen in the phosphazene backbone form a char layer when it burned and it is not burn anymore. UL-94V test was carried out to determine flame retardancy. TGA and DSC measurements were used to determine whether flame retardancy and heat resistance were synergistic. |
