제목 Performance improvement of hard coating layer on the plastic substrate via UV curing process
초록 Organic-inorganic hybrid hard coating layer was prepared by UV-curing process to improve the hardness of plastic substrate for flexible display. Organic-inorganic solution consists of functional acrylate & polyurethane oligomer and nano-sized colloidal silica. Methacryoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (MAPTMS) was also added as a coupling agent between inorganic silica and organic parts. Solution was spin coated on plastic substrate and cured by UV irradiation. Mole ratio of MAPTMS to silica was optimized for complete condensation of residual silanols, since excess amount of colloidal silica failed to improve the hardness beyond optimum composition. Unreacted components in coating solutions should be removed after irradiation to attain the improved hardness, transparency, adhesion with substrates and UV stability.
