제목 Ultrathin Film-Type Supercapacitor Electrodes with High Areal and Volumetric Capacitance via Amphiphilic Ligand Exchange Reaction
초록 We introduce high-performance ultrathin supercapacitor electrode fabricated via consecutive amphiphilic ligand exchange-based layer-by-layer (LbL) assembly. The electrode is ternary composite of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) in water, amine-functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes (NH2-MWCNTs) in ethanol, and oleic acid-stabilized pseudocapacitive nanoparticles (OA-Fe3O4 NPs) in toluene. Our approach is characterized by the fact that the insertion of semiconducting polymer linkers (PEDOT:PSS) effectively increases the loading amount of pseudocapacitive nanoparticles (PC NPs) without a significant loss of overall electrochemical performance. The periodic insertion of PC NPs within the (NH2-MWCNT/PEDOT:PSS)10-multilayered ITO electrodes conspicuously enhanced the volumetric and areal capacitance up to 408±4 F·cm−3 and 8.79±0.06 mF·cm−2 at 5 mV·s−1 with perfect cycling stability (98.8% after 5000 cycles) and good rate capability.
