Combining unique properties of individual nanostructures and possibly synergistic effects, nanocomposites have attracted great attention ranging from biosensing to energy conversion and storage. In the present study, we introduced a facile method to construct hierarchical nanocomposites by combining one dimensional (1D) conducting polyaniline with 2D vanadium disulfide (VS2) nanosheets. The morphology, composition, and electronic structure of the polyaniline composites with and without VS2 nanostructures were characterized using various characterization tools. These hierarchical nanocomposite possessed higher electrochemical capacitance and better stability than each individual component as supercapacitor electrode materials, showing a synergistic effect of PANI and VS2. This study will further guide in the preparation of functional nanocomposites by combining different dimensional nanomaterials. |
