Multilayer stacked polymer white-light-emitting diodes by stamp transfer printing method |

White polymer light-emitting diodes (WPLEDs) with a bilayer emitting structure were fabricated by the stamp transfer printing method. A yellow polymer was effectively transferred from a substrate with yellow polymer film to indium tin oxide (ITO) substrate with blue polymer film, resulting in a stacked bilayer emitting structure. The device structure was ITO/polyethylene-dioxythiophene/blue polyfluorene (PFO)/yellow polyphenylvinylene (PPV)/LiF/Al. The device showed both blue and yellow emissions from PFO and PPV and showed a color coordinate of (0.33, 0.40) with little change of spectrum according to driving voltage. The stamp transfer printing method was effective to fabricate a multilayer structure of oranic soluble materials and it can be used in other applications which require multilayer structure. |
