Hydrogen must be produced by means of an energy input, and to date, hydrogen is mainly produced by steam reforming natural gas or other fossil fuels, such as propane, gasoline, diesel, methanol, or ethanol. High-quality hydrogen (≈100% hydrogen) can be produced by the electrochemical conversion of water to hydrogen and oxygen through a process known as water electrolysis. In this study, the effects of temperature and water flow rate on the performance and durability in the water electrolysis system were investigated. |
