The development of the China automotive industry during the past decade is unprecedented.The market of mid & high-end passenger vehicle (car, SUV & MVP) is mainly dominated by the multinational OEMs.However, the players in the commercial vehicle and low-end passenger vehicle market are mostly local brands.The competition for paint supply in this segment has been extremely fierce.The manufacturing process, material, equipment, and management of most local commercial vehicle OEMs are not comparable to those of multinationals.Consequently, some special challenges & requirements are faced by the commercial vehicle paint finishing, especially in the field of cationic electrodeposition (CED) coating.The key success factor is to recognize the unique requirements of the commercial vehicle coating and develop a matching product. |
