초록 | Due to the poor surface area to store electrical charges and ions, the electrochemical performance of carbon fibers (μ-CFs) for supercapacitors is limited. The decoration of the carbon nanowire arrays on μ-CF surface was performed to increase the surface area for storage of electrical charge and the chemical active sites for the pseudo-capacitive reactions. In order to achieve this, zinc oxide (ZnO) nanowire arrays were hydrothermally grown on the μ-CF surface and then, polydopamine (pDA) was coated on ZnO nanowires. Finally, high temperature annealing was performed to carbonize pDA coating layers, which leads to construct carbon nanowire (CNW) arrays. For higher energy density, manganese oxide (MnOx) nanoparticles which are considered to be the most attractive oxide material owing to high abundance of Mn, were deposited on the carbonized pDA nanowire arrays. |
