Fischer-Tropsch synthesis on Ru/Co/Zr-Al2O3 catalysts |

The catalytic activities in Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis (FTS) on Ru/Co/Zr-Al2O3 have been investigated. The Zr-Al2O3 support was synthesized by using the precipitation method with precipitant of K2CO3 at various Zr loading ranging from 0 to 10 wt.%. The Zr-Al2O3 showed unimodal pore size distribution around 10 nm in size and the FT catalysts impregnated with 0.5wt.%Ru and 20wt.%Co on those supports showed the bimodal pore size distribution. The catalyst having 10wt.%Zr in Al2O3 showed the highest C8+ selectivity around 63 %. The observed catalytic properties were correlated with the pore size distribution and reducibility of cobalt metal. |
