제목 Reinforced cardboard waste fibers with hierarchical dual-pore scaffold for hasty dye removal
초록 The presence of dyes in the bodies of water threatens aquatic living organisms as well as humans which makes the cleansing of the effluent waters has drawn much attention. Herein, we reported a biocomposite aerogel with superadsorbent characteristic, admirable mechanical stability, and impressive dye removal performance. The adsorbent was prepared via reinforcing milled cardboard with chitosan and subjected to freeze-drying to form dual-pore scaffold. The maximum dye removal performance of the adsorbent for batch and continuous systems was 65% and 95%, respectively. These results proved that the waste-based sorbent is an effective media for dye adsorption.
