제목 Facile Observation of Intrinsic CVD Graphene Defects through Selective Oxygen Transport
초록  Chemical Vapor Transport (CVD) method has a potential to mass-produce the graphene with superior quality. However, the CVD graphene has various intrinsic defects interrupting industrialization of the graphene. Tracking the structural defects of graphene is important for estimating quality of graphene not only in laboratory level, but also in industry level. Here, we report facile observation method of intrinsic CVD graphene defects through selective oxygen transport at graphene-grown copper foils. Air oxidation of graphene coated copper easily detected the distribution of structural defects qusing optical and electron microscopies. Through the simple oxidation experiments, the degrees of structural defects distribution in macro-scale sheets is controlled by the crystallographic orientations of the underlying copper grains and the growth conditions of graphene. The experimental and theoretical results suggest that the oxygen radicals, decomposed from water molecules in ambient air, were inverted at Stone-Wales defects into the graphene and copper interface with 200 °C air annealing.
