Detection of radioactive heavy metal ion using cross-linked alginate bead containing polydiacetylene with tetraethyl orthosilicate |
초록 |
Polydiacetylene (PDA) is one of various conjugated polymer. It is being actively studied as a sensor material. PDA vesicle color is changed following photo-polymerization and heat-treatment of the self-assembled vesicles. Radioactive heavy metals have negative effect on the human body. Detection and removal of radioactive heavy metals can help diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Following stimulation such as radioactive heavy metal, color of PDA vesicle changed. Using this principle, PDA vesicles have response properties such as chromatic-transition by radioactive heavy metal. Alginate bead cross-linked by tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) can endure external physical stimulus. As above described, TEOS cross-linked alginate bead containing PDA can catch the heavy metal endurable external physical stimulation. We observed that color of the PDA vesicle in bead can be changed by capturing radioactive heavy metal and PDA isn’t escape from bead by external physical stimulus. |
