제목 Drop Impact Dynamics on Inclined Anisotropically Patterned Micro-strip Surfaces
초록 Understanding impact dynamics of droplets on superhydrophobic surfaces is useful in several applications such as, self-cleaning and anti-icing. Since the drop behavior is known to be significantly affected by surface structure, many studies have been reported on how the droplet moves on patterned surfaces, however, only few works have been done on anisotropic surfaces. Herein, we analyze drop impacting on anisotropic micro-striped surfaces systematically by controlling spacing ratio of patterns. We fugure out that the difference in the droplet motion becomes more apparent depending on the direction of the striped patterns when surface is inclined. We theoretically analyze how the droplet is highly influenced by the direction of the striped patterns by distingunishing each cases such as bouncing for Cassie state and sliding for Wenzel state in which the droplet penetrates in the grooves between the ridges at large spacing.
