제목 Antifouling and antimicrobial membranes for ultrafiltration (UF) application
초록 The growth and colonization of bacteria one membrane surfaces exacerbate membrane performances during the operation and the storage of the membrane. Although numerous approaches has been demonstrated as a means to enhance the antifouling and antimicrobial property of the membranes, it still remains unresolved. Here we report a series of ultrafiltration (UF) membranes based on diallyl polysulfone (APSf) and mussel-inspired poly(dopamine methacrylate) (PDMA) prepared by in situ process. Since allyl moieties of APSf could be activated and polymerized with other functional monomers using a radical initiator, antifouling PDMA can be incorporated to the APSf by "grafting from" method. Attenuated total reflectance infrared (ATR-IR) spectra and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) spectra indicate that the content of PDMA in the membranes is controlled by changing the feed ratio of PDMA to APSf. The effect of PDMA content on the flux decline behavior was systematically investigated.
