The oligoaniline diamines whose internal NH groups were protected with t-butoxycarbonyl(t-BOC) group were synthesized by palladium catalyzed aromatic amination of aryl halide. The oligoanilines were polymerized with α, ω,-alkyldiisocyanates to produce a polyurea which had good solubility in common organic solvents. The t-BOC groups of the poly(oligoanilinealkylurea) were removed thermally or chemically. The morphology and thermal and electrochemical properties of the t-BOC protected or deprotected polymers were studied by differential scanning calorimetery, thermogravimetry, small angle X-ray scattering, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and cyclic voltamerty. |
