제목 Application and characterizations of biomimetic bacterial cellulose scaffold for tissue engineering by gamma irradiation
초록 Bacterial cellulose (BC) is produced from citrus gel by Gluconacetobacter hansenii TL-2C. BC have been shown to high-burst pressure, high-water contact and the ultrafine highly nanofibrous structure of natural extracellular matrix (ECM) for tissue engineering. Acrylic acid (AAc) and amino ethylene methacrylate (AEMA) were grafted onto BC surfaces under aqueous conditions using gamma-ray irradiation. In this study, the cell adhesion and proliferation effect of these biomimetic materials on the HMSCs and AAc-g-BC, AEMA-g-BC, and AAc-AEMA-g-BC was studied. The chareacterization of scaffolds was performed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), ATR-FTIR spectroscopy, toluidine blue O (TBO) assay, and contact angle measurements. Our results suggest that biomimetic BC scaffold is a promising way to fabricate nanofibrous scaffolds that accelerates cell behavior for biomedical applications.
