Metal–organicframeworks (MOFs) are crystalline porous materials in which metal ions/clustersand organic ligands are continuously bound together. Various MOFs can be preparedby different combinations of metal ions and organic ligands. Importantly, MOFsare useful to synthesize functional nanoporous composite materials with othermaterials. In addition, the MOFs and their composites can be converted tonanoporous carbons, metals, and metals oxides which are recent core materialsin energy and environmental applications. In this presentation, design and synthesisof various MOFs and MOFs-derived materials by nanoarchitecture will beintroduced. Also, the recent energy and environmental applications of theMOF-based functional materials will be presented. |
