제목 Tailoring the Nanostructures and Activities of Bifunctional Carbon Electrocatalysts for Zn-Air Batteries
초록 It is important to control the nanostructures of carbon-based electrocatalysts in Zn-air batteries due to the strong dependency of their activities on physical and chemical structures.   Herein, an Oxygen-Accelerated Solvothermal Radical Reaction (OASRR) was devised to synthesize bifunctional carbon electrocatalysts for oxygen electrocatalysis in Zn-air batteries. The physical and chemical structures of carbon electrocatalysts were tuned by adjusting a combination of organic precursors and Co ions in the OASRR; nanoparticulate cobalt doped carbon nanosheet (CoNP-CN-1) and atomic Co-doped hollow carbon sphere (ACo-CN-2) showed outstanding electrocatalytic activities in ORR and OER. The computational simulations revealed that the carbon on the backside of the Co cluster-doped carbon sheet was the active site for the reactions. The Zn-Air battery assembled with CoNP-CN-1 and ACo-CN-2 showed a superior performance with greater stability compared with the battery prepared by Pt/C and RuO2.
