제목 Direct Synthesis of Dimethyl Carbonate from CO2: From the Perspective of Dimethyl-Carbonate, A Promising Material for the Future
초록 Greenhouse gases (GHGs) emissions have grown and reached 49.5 Gt of CO2 equivalents in the 2010. Its amounts are continuously increased until today. CCU technology can mitigate the CO­2 emission and global warming. In this study, we proposed two cases of DMC production, the one is REF case which we used refrigerant in the condenser of the distillation column that separates DMC, the other is CW case which we used cooling water in the condenser. Both cases were simulated using Aspen Plus V12 and economics were evaluated using Aspen Process Economic Analyzer (APEA) V12. As a result, the REF case produced 90 % 4.96 kmol/hr of DMC and the CW case produced 90 %, 3.49 kmol/hr of DMC. The total annual cost of the REF case is US 2.79 M$/y and US 3.14 M$/y at the CW case. The NPVs are US 7.3 M$ in the REF case and US -5.4 M$ at the CW case. By sensitivity analysis, it is shown the cases include CW case can be economically feasible in the point of the NPV when the DMC selling price increase over 20.7 %.
