It is important to prepare the synthesis methods with controllability of materials’ shape and size. Especially for the fabrication of complex and intelligent materials (e.g. artificial biomaterials, semi-conducting materials, functionalized materials or biosensors), these will be critical componets to consider. Elaborated controls in collision-based crytal nucleation and/or particle synthesis are enabling this goal. Espectially, there have been enormus progresses over the past dacades in synthesis and control of metal nanoparticles such as gold, silver, copper and iron with various sizes and shapes. The mechanism study of synthesizing methods may explain how different shapes and sizes can be controlled. n this study, we demonstrate morphological controls in core@shell magnetic nanoparticles that include superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPION) in a core. The study of core@shell nanoparticle has a wide range of applications through formation of functional shell structures. |
