제목 Si/SiOx Anode Fabricated by a Solution-based Method for Lithium Ion Batteries
초록 Si-based anode materials were found to have a largest theoretical capacity and low reaction potential. However its initial high capacity showed a drastic decrement due to microstructural distortions or disintegrations caused by large volume changes (about 300 times) during intercalation-deintercalation of lithium ions. To solve these issues, SiO2 -based materials have been considered as a promising replacement.
The SiOx precursor was synthesized when Ethylene glycol was poured with vigorous stirring into the mixture solution of SiCl4 and Benzene. Before EG pouring, three kinds of SiCl4 solutions with 1, 3, and 9 wt% ratios of dispersed silicon (Si) nanoparticles had been prepared under continuous stirring. The white gel-type SiOx precursor which had contained Si nanoparticles was heat treated.
Our data suggest that an optimized amount of silicon added to SiOx could play a critical role in improving the capacity while maintaining high capacity retention of SiOx anode
