제목 Synthesis and evaluation of Silyl SPC anti-fouling paints for fuel saving in marine vessels
초록 The attachment of marine organisms on ship has been pointed out for fuel loss. Due to attached organisms, the surface of the ship becomes rough, resulting in a speed decrease and economic loss. So the development of anti-fouling paint applied to ship is active. In this study, poly(ethylene glycol) methacrylate which has a structure of poly(ethylene glycol) used for drag reduction in pipelines and silyl acrylate were used as monomers to synthesize SPC resins. And, anti-fouling paints were mixed based on the resin and compared with commercial paints to verify the frictional drag reduction effect. The structure of the resin was analyzed using FT-IR and the drag reduction performance of paints was measured by dynamometer.
