Solid-state dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) with copper complex as a hole transporting material were fabricated, and their photovoltaic performance was examine. When bis-(4,4',6,6'-tetramethyl-2,2'-bipyridine)copper(I) bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide [Cu(tmby)2TFSI] was applied as hole transporting material in combination with additives, a solid-state DSSC showed a power conversion efficiency(PCE) of 1.01%, resulting from 2.206 mA/cm2 of the short-circuit current (Jsc), 0.666 V of the open-circuit voltage (Voc) and 68.77% of fill factor (FF). On the other hand, the PCE of a solid-state DSSC with bis-(4,4',6,6'-tetramethyl-2,2'-bipyridine)copper(II) bis[bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide] [Cu(tmby)2(TFSI)2] was increased to 2.479 % (Jsc = 6.476 mA/cm2, Voc = 0.604 V, and FF = 63.38 %). |
